SUBMITTED NEWS RELEASE

“In a successful effort to return laid off firefighters to protecting and serving our citizens, the membership of the Reno Firefighters Association has overwhelmingly approved this latest concession. This action by our membership will result in four (4) firefighters immediately returning to duty.

Reno Firefighters Association believes this is another positive step in the concerted effort to increase the level of service delivered to the citizens of the City of Reno and the Truckee Meadows,” said President Dennis Jacobsen.

The International Association of Fire Fighters Local 731 membership includes fire fighters, fire prevention personnel, safety/training personnel and fire mechanics, as well as more than 60 active retirees. The Reno Fire Fighters protect life and property in the City of Reno and the Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District and has been organized for more than 120 years.
