WASHINGTON, D.C.—Sen. Harry today announced the Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District will receive $550,455 from the Federal Emergency Management Firefighters Grants Program to improve operations and safety. The funding supports improvements to training, equipment, personal protective equipment, wellness and fitness, and health and safety modifications to stations and facilities.
“These resources will help ensure Nevada’s firefighters have the tools they need to keep our communities safe, especially as we approach wildfire season,” Reid said. “I am eager to continue working closely with the Truckee Meadows firefighters to ensure they are prepared to respond to all emergencies.”
