BLM offers $1,500 reward for information on theft of government property

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is offering a $1,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the theft of government property.  An all-terrain vehicle (ATV) was stolen from the BLM Nevada State Office, located at 1340 Financial Blvd in Reno, late evening Monday, March 7 or early Tuesday morning March 8, 2011.

The office is on South McCarran Boulevard between Mill Street and Rock Boulevard, and is visible to drivers southbound on McCarran Blvd.  Drivers or pedestrians who may have seen unusual or suspicious activity are requested to call with information.

The ATV is a green 2009 Honda FOURTRAX TR, with a vehicle identification number (VIN) of 1HFTE260X94801659.  The ATV has a white license plate, with “US Government M011446” in blue letters.

Persons providing information may choose to remain anonymous.  Individuals with information about this incident are encouraged to call the BLM Crime Hotline at 1-800-521-6501.
