SUBMITTED NEWS RELEASE

GARDNERVILLE, Nev.—Aervoe Industries, Inc., a recognized leader and manufacturer of industrial use products including paints, specialty coatings, cleaners and lubricants for more than 35 years, receives an Export Achievement Certificate from the U.S. Commercial Services, an agency of the U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration. With corporate headquarters based in Gardnerville, Nev., the certificate recognizes small and medium-sized enterprises for successfully entering the international marketplace for the first time or those that have successfully entered a new market.

The U.S. Commercial Services regional director Rich Swanson will present the Export Achievement Certificate to Aervoe Industries during a joint breakfast meeting Wednesday, March 30 at the Carson Valley Inn.

Eligibility for the certificate is given on a one-time basis for organizations that meet the U.S. Commercial Services definition of the “New-to-Export” or “New-to-Market” for companies that have never exported before or are new to a particular country.

“This recognition of Aervoe Industries speaks to the company’s incredible success entering the international marketplace,” said Rob Hooper, executive director of the Northern Nevada Development Authority. “It also shows that a business based in Douglas County can operate successfully in the U.S. and internationally, which speaks to the proximity of transportation export capabilities from a home base here in the Sierra region.”

“Aervoe Industries is another example of successful companies doing business in Douglas County and one we’re proud to have in our community,” said Douglas County Commission Chairman Michael Olson. “Aervoe’s outdoor products also add to the numerous businesses that our area attracts in the outdoor recreation and lifestyle arena and represents a growth sector and one we’re actively targeting through our Ascent Douglas County efforts. Congratulations to Aervoe Industries on your continued success.”

According to David Williams, CEO of Aervoe Industries, “Our company has had a solid business for 35 years, but recent diversification of our product lines have allowed us to enter additional markets and provide new innovative products.  Our expansion internationally provides Aervoe increased distribution demand, which will benefit our employees and community here in Gardnerville. Nevada’s favorable business climate is what has made this possible and we look forward to more opportunities as we continue to build our product lines.”

Aervoe Industries recently expanded its manufacturing capabilities to create three distinct product categories: Industrial, Maintenance and Construction Chemical Products; Safety, Traffic Control and Outdoor Products; and Portable Appliances and Accessories.  The Safety, Traffic Control and Outdoor Products category includes products for personal and industrial safety, as well as outdoor recreation.  The Portable Appliance category includes easily transportable appliances for outdoor recreation, catering, commercial restaurant use and jobsite cooking.  With the expansion of these two categories to Aervoe’s long-standing industrial chemical product line, the company has become a one-stop shop for many of its customers. The NNDA, Carson Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Business Council of Douglas County will host the joint breakfast meeting at the Carson Valley Inn, 1627 Hwy. 395 N, in Minden, Nev., which begins at 7 a.m. with the program starting 7:45 am. Cost is $20 per person with advance reservations and $35 at the door.  RSVP at www.nnda.org Events or call 775-883-4413.

About the Export Achievement Certificate:
Almost 10 years ago, the USCS created the “Export Achievement Certificate” to recognize its clients that achieved first-time success selling abroad. Since then, the recognition has evolved into one that recognizes significant export success, first-time or otherwise. Local USCS offices, such as in Reno, Nev., nominate candidate recipients, and these nominations are vetted by a committee at the USCS headquarters in Washington D.C. to ensure the nomination merits recognition. They consider the size and location of the client company, the market(s) sold to, the size of the sale(s) and the number of sale(s). However, rather than a set number of criteria boxes to check off, success is measured against the company’s history and how the utilization of USCS services contributed to notable challenges being overcome in order for success to be achieved. The award is reserved for only the most significant of achievements.
