Leaders at Q&D are pleased to announce the following changes in the accounting department. The company has hired Chuck W. Cook as Chief Financial Officer and is promoting accounting manager Valerie Burnett to the position of Controller.
Cook will oversee the accounting team, contributing his diverse financial management skills and years of experience to Q&D’s corporate strategy of lean and profitable construction management.
Cook comes to Q&D with over twenty years of financial management expertise, including tenure at FMC Corporation, where he managed all financial aspects of a billion dollar partnership for Fortune 500 companies. He spent the last 13 years at Peavine Construction where he directed all financial aspects of operations for the heavy highway and underground construction company.
Cook holds a Bachelors of Accountancy with a minor in Economics and a Masters in Business Administration, both from New Mexico State University.
Formerly Q&D’s Accounting Manager, Valerie Burnett will become the Q&D Controller, a move to align her title to better represent the work and responsibility she has taken on in the last 7 years of her tenure here at Q&D. Burnett will support the CFO, managing day to day accounting activities.
