2/3 – Affordable Health Fair

Thursday, February 3, 7:30-11 a.m., Northern Nevada Medical Center, 7th Floor. Services include:

NEW!!  Northern Nevada Medical Center Announces Opening of Inpatient RehabCenter

Located on the sixth floor of the hospital, the new 8-bed unit offers physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy to patients in need of rehabilitation in an inpatient, hospital setting.

The NNMC Inpatient RehabCenter provides comprehensive therapy for patients who have experienced major injuries, neurological trauma or extensive surgery.  The team of physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech therapists are equipped to care for a number of conditions including:  stroke; brain injuries; amputation; spinal cord and back injuries; and neurological disorders such as Parkinson’s disease or muscular dystrophy.

The new facility features all private rooms with a gym and a dining room overlooking the city. The clinical staff is lead by Lita McCaw, OTR/L., Director of Inpatient Rehabilitation and Therapy Services, who has 23 years in occupational therapy.  To make an appointment, call 775-356-4555.

Walk Ins Welcome at Northern Nevada Medical Group

For your convenience, the Northern Nevada Medical Group takes walk ins and same day appointments.  The group is accepting new patients.  We accept most of the area’s health plans, including Medicare.  Our physicians include:  family practice, internal medicine, geriatric medicine, sports medicine, and neurology.
