ON A WIRE: Opening Reception

Modern skylines are crisscrossed with telephone wires and sitting on those wired you’ll usually find birds. On A Wire is an open submission, group show where we provide the wire and artists provide the birds.  This mixed media exhibit opens on Thursday, January 13 at 7pm and runs through the 31st.  So step outside, watch some birds take flight and get inspired.

ALLDAYDRIVE CD RELEASE w/ THE WAITING ENDS & VOICES

Get hyped! Why? Cause Alldaydrive’s new album One Hundred Million Billion and the release show’s at Holland on January 14th. Joining Alldaydrive will be metal maniacs The Waiting Ends and Voices. Come down and basque in the local goodness. Friday, January 14th at the Holland Show Space at Rainshadow Doors 7PM, $10 but you get a free album!

TRAILBLAZERS: Celebrating Women in Pop Culture and Society

This Sunday, January 16th come join us at the Holland Showspace at Rainshadow for Trailblazers: An exploration of women in pop culture, industry and art. This forum will provide insight into inspirational women in our own community—their stories, visions, trials and tribulations, triumphs, and inspirations—as well as explore radical females from the past in the arenas of pop culture, music, art, society, and politics. It also seeks showcase amazing ladies, as well as serve as a push of encouragement for young people of any gender to pioneer projects of their own—regardless of the obstacles or difficulties. Guest speakers include Kerrie Keyes (sound engineer for Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and more!), Amber and Nicole Sallaberry, Mary Ferguson, Go For Broke Collective, Laura Fillmore, Jasmine Cividino, and more! Holland Showspace at Rainshadow, Sunday, January 16th, 3pm.  FREE!
