United Way names officers for 2011 board of directors

United Way of Northern Nevada and the Sierra (UWNNS) has announced its 2011 board of directors and officers including Paul Dugan, former Washoe County School District superintendent, as board chair for the second consecutive year. Other 2011 officers elected include: Vice Chair Curtis McElwee, manager plant accounting for NV Energy; Treasurer Joan Dees, community volunteer; Secretary Ann Campbell, center manager for JCPenney Logistics Center; and Karen Barsell, chief executive officer and president of UWNNS.

Other UWNNS board members who have been elected include: Mary-Ann Andrews, vice president of operation/business development for Sage International, Inc.; Shera Alberti-Annunzio, assistant director of professional development and certificate programs at the University of Nevada, Reno’s Extended Studies; Vaughna Bendickson, vice president/Nevada learning and sales development manager at Wells Fargo; Chris Bosse, government relations officer for Renown Health; Nancy Brown, senior manager of community development at Charles Schwab Bank; Mitch Cohen, district manager for U.S. Bank; Larry DeVincenzi, creative marketing consultant at SmartBrand; Bonnie Drinkwater, Esq., owner of Drinkwater Law Offices; Mendy Elliott, community volunteer; Paula Lee Hobson, executive director, foundation/ institutional advancement of Truckee Meadows Community College; Peggy Glick, community volunteer; Robert B. Grubic, senior vice president and client manager for Bank of America; Dr. Heath E. Morrison, superintendent of Washoe County School District; Tina Nappe, community volunteer; Tom Pfoh, pricing systems leader at GE Energy; and Kris Wells, area manager in external affairs for AT&T.
