Governor-elect Brian Sandoval today made the following statement after the U.S. Census Bureau released the official reapportionment numbers:
“I believe that Nevada gaining a seat in the U.S. Congress will be critically important to addressing the issues facing our state, especially those at the federal level.
“As the legislature looks to take up reapportionment during the upcoming session, it is my hope the process will proceed in an orderly manner on behalf of the voters and not politics. I plan to work with both the assembly and the senate to ensure the process is fair and balanced.”
