WINNEMUCCA — The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Winnemucca District, Humboldt County and Winnemucca City are offering a $1,500 reward for information that results in the arrest and conviction of the person/persons responsible for vandalizing rest rooms at a campsite within the Water Canyon Recreation Area (WCRA).  The damage was discovered November 15, 2010.

The WCRA is a very popular recreational area in the Winnemucca area for outdoor use such as hiking, biking, and camping.  Upgrades to this site were made possible through the BLM and its partnerships with Winnemucca City and Humboldt County.  Significant financial and work time contributions have occurred over the past few years based on these partnerships.

The BLM is working closely with the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office and are seeking the public’s help to identify those responsible for the damage.  Anyone with information is encouraged to call Secret Witness at (775) 623-6969. You may remain anonymous.
