Reno’s Rainshadow School Invites Hindu Leader Zed to Talk Religion

Rainshadow Community Charter High School in Reno, which challenges its students to rise above expectations, invited Hindu leader Rajan Zed to address its students and teachers about religion on December 15.

Rajan Zed, who is President of Universal Society of Hinduism, told the gathered that a broader and more inclusive understanding of religion was required as religion was a complex and powerful component of our lives. World needed to take the religion more seriously, he added.

Mission of solar powered Rainshadow School is: “Creating empowered community members through real-world education”. Dr. Steve West is the Principal while Josh Reddig is Chair of its Board.
