most celebrated each year is the annual Santa Crawl.  Circus Circus Hotel & Casino Reno, the Eldorado Hotel Casino, Harrah’s Reno Hotel Casino and Silver Legacy Resort Casino would like to thank all who helped in making this year’s Crawl safe and successful.

The 2010 Santa Crawl raised more than $20,000 for Washoe County Schools via DonorsChoose.org.  Each of the downtown properties would like to thank the well-mannered crowds along Virginia Street and inside the casinos, restaurants and bars.  No major security issues were noted across the board and the downtown Reno core looks forward to hosting future Santa Crawl celebrations.

The Santa Crawl is an annual charity event that brings out thousands of revelers dressed in festive holiday costumes.  Making their way through downtown Reno in groups, Crawlers stop at participating establishments from the Freight House District to Midtown and the Riverwalk to drink and be merry.  The climax of the evening takes place at midnight as Crawlers gather under the Reno Arch to sing Christmas carols.

According to organizers, this year’s Santa Crawl was the most successful to date, with 6,000 to 7,000 people taking part.  Each of the downtown properties looks forward to helping provide a safe place for Santa’s to gather for years to come and wish everyone a happy, safe holiday season!
