SUBMITTED NEWS RELEASE

We are now less than two weeks away from the opening concert of this year’s Nevada Chamber Music Festival! The Festival’s nine concerts will take place December 28-31 at South Reno United Methodist Church and UNR’s Nightingale Concert Hall.

If you haven’t yet bought your tickets, they’re available right now by calling (775) 348-9413.

We are as always offering transferable, discounted Festival passes – good for all nine performances – and individual concert tickets. And we’ve lowered most of our ticket prices this year!

Anyone eighteen years old or younger, and full-time students, can attend any Festival concert for just $5.

Along with the concerts, you can also ring in 2011 with the Festival musicians and fellow music lovers at a special Post-Concert Dinner Celebration, right after our New Year’s Eve concert at the Grand Sierra Resort. Cost is $100 per person ($50 of which is a tax-deductible donation to the RCO). A package including the New Year’s Eve concert and Post-Concert Celebration is also available. Call the RCO for more details.

Among our NCMF offerings this year are noon concerts with Beethoven and “The Best of Reno,” and an all-Chopin concert marking the 200th anniversary of the legendary composer’s birth. Find out more about the concerts, musicians, and repertoire at our website, where you can also see our Festival TV commercial.
