“As a veteran himself, Caleb intimately understands the specific needs of Nevada’s veteran community,” Sandoval said. “I am honored that he has decided to serve in my administration.”

Cage, a native of Reno, attended the United States Military Academy and West Point and served as a field artillery officer with the 1st Infantry Division. Cage also served as an information operations officer for Multinational Corps-Iraq.

Sandoval also made the following statement on Veterans Day:

“On this Veterans Day, we pause to remember our state and our nation’s veterans. To the men and women who have put their lives on the line for us, to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice and to the brave men and women currently fighting, and to their families, we say thank you. We owe you a debt of gratitude that can never be fully repaid.”
