Saint Mary’s Immunization Program holds seasonal flu shot clinic at Summit Mall on Dec. 4

It’s not too late to protect you and your family from the seasonal flu virus.  Saint Mary’s Immunization Program will offer flu shots to those aged 6 months and older on Saturday, Dec. 4 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Summit Mall in south Reno, near Hollister and Sunglass Hut.  For $10 and two cans of food, which will be donated to the Food Bank of Northern Nevada, community members can get their seasonal flu shot while donating to a worthwhile cause.  Additionally, community members can make adult and children’s flu shot appointments by calling 775-770-7100.

Cost for the flu vaccine at Saint Mary’s one-day clinic is $10 and two cans of food that will be donated to the Food Bank of Northern Nevada, or free to Saint Mary’s HealthFirst and Health Choice members who present their insurance card.  In addition, those with Medicare Part B as their primary insurance and Senior Dimension members can receive the vaccine at no charge.

Pneumonia shots will also be provided for $55 and are available for adults age 65 and older or those with certain medical conditions.  Adults 19 to 64 who smoke or have asthma may also receive a pneumonia shot.  In addition, Saint Mary’s Health Plan members, Medicare Part B members and Senior Dimension members can also receive a pneumonia shot at no charge.
