There are only 13 days left to purchase your raffle tickets for Salute and Support and support the Veterans Guest House fall fundraising effort. The last day to buy tickets is Saturday, Dec. 11, at Bugsy’s at the Freight House District, where guest house supporters will gather to watch the Army vs. Navy football game.
For $25 a buffet lunch of dogs, burgers, salad, cookies and a well drink will be provided. Call the guest house at 324-6958 to RSVP or e-mail [email protected].
With the purchase of a $100 raffle ticket, donors get a chance to win either a $7,500 grand prize or one of five $500 prizes. Only 500 tickets will be sold to improve the odds and are available for purchase now.
Raffle tickets are available now until Dec. 11 at the Flag Store at 155 Glendale Ave., Ste. 9, in Sparks, at PJ’s Restaurant at 1590 S. Wells Ave. in Reno and DigiPrint at 4865 Longley Lane, Ste. C, in Reno. Tickets are also available at the guest house Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 880 Locust Street, across the street from Veterans Administration Medical Center.
All proceeds from purchasing raffle tickets go toward the guest house, which provides temporary housing for veterans and their families while undergoing medical treatment in the Reno/Sparks area.
Then join the guest house on Dec. 11 at Bugsy’s at the Freight House District for the Army vs. Navy football game and the winning drawing. The game starts at 11:30 a.m., and the winners will be announced during halftime.,Winners need not be present to win.
The guest house is a 501(c) (3) non-profit corporation; all donations are tax-deductible.

The Veterans Guest House provides United States Military service veterans and their families’ temporary overnight accommodations when receiving treatment at a medical facility in the Reno/Sparks area. It also accommodates veterans traveling to Reno for outpatient medical care. The majority of guests receive treatment at the Veterans Administration Medical Center (VAMC).
