EMCO High Voltage Corporation Opens New Nevada Factory and Design Center

(MINDEN, Nev.) EMCO High Voltage Corporation, a leading designer and manufacturer of high voltage power supplies, is expanding its operations to 2436 Precision Drive, Minden, Nev. The new location adds 5,000 square feet of new design and manufacturing space. An additional 5,000 square feet is planned for a second phase with available on-site capacity for further expansion.

The company’s expansion was brokered by Chad Coons, CCIM, broker and president of Gillmor Coons Real Estate Group, LLC, based in Genoa, Nev., and member of the Northern Nevada Development Authority’s (NNDA) Commercial Real Estate and Development committee.

EMCO President and CEO, Mike Doherty, stated, “Minden, Nevada represents an excellent combination of accessibility, skilled labor force and an attractive cost structure. EMCO strives to provide the best value to our customers and this expansion will further our ability to offer leading-edge products at attractive prices.”

Barbara Havens joins the EMCO – Nevada team as head of manufacturing. An engineering graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno, with extensive leadership experience in several highly successful Silicon Valley, California electronics companies, Haven’s brings a strong presence to this most critical position. “Barbara is indicative of the quality of people in the Minden area upon whom EMCO intends to build this remote operation,” Doherty said.

New product lines and production processes will be developed and incubated at EMCO’s Sutter Creek California headquarters and then transferred to Minden for full production. The new Minden design center will focus on expanding EMCO’s product portfolio into new market segments, utilizing EMCO’s proven high reliability design practices.
