RENO, Nev. – Walmart (NYSE: WMT) and Saint Mary’s Medical Group have joined together to open the region’s newest location for basic healthcare services, The Clinic at Walmart, operated by Saint Mary’s Medical Group. This convenient retail healthcare clinic is now open and is located inside the Walmart at 5065 Pyramid Highway in Spanish Springs.
“We are committed to providing convenient and quality healthcare options to our patients, and are excited about being the first provider in northern Nevada to offer this new healthcare option,” said Dan Ferguson, MD, chief medical officer for Saint Mary’s Medical Group. “The new clinic will allow patients to take an active role in preventive healthcare by taking advantage of the many screenings and wellness options available.”
The clinic will provide convenient, affordable access to basic healthcare services, seven days a week, with no appointment necessary. The walk-in health clinic is the region’s first retail clinic. The clinic will be open for walk-in care Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
For busy customers who need care, especially after working hours or on weekends, the clinic will treat common health ailments and offer routine services. These include, but are not limited to, the following: routine physical examinations, immunizations, acute bronchitis/cough, allergic conditions, minor medical conditions and injuries, diagnostic laboratory testing, and counseling and diagnostic testing for common medical conditions.
