Governor names transition director

CARSON CITY — Governor Jim Gibbons today announced the appointment of Steve Robinson as Transition Director for the Governor’s Office. Robinson’s main duties will focus on ensuring a smooth transition between the Gibbons Administration and the Administration of the new governor to be elected in November. Robinson served as a Senior Staff Member during the transition between Governor Robert List and Governor Richard Bryan as well as the transition between Governor Kenny Guinn and Governor Jim Gibbons.

“I promised the people of Nevada a seamless and smooth transition between my Administration and the next one, “Governor Gibbons said, “This is a crucial time in Nevada’s history and our citizens deserve the full uninterrupted support of their state government.”

“I am proud Governor Gibbons has shown the faith and trust in me to bring me on board,” Robinson said, “I will do everything in my power to assist and guide this Office through the changes the next several months will bring.”

In addition to his work as a senior state and federal government staff member, Robinson also worked at R & R Partners, focusing mainly on environmental issues.
