RENO, Nev. — Saint Mary’s Home Care was recently selected to receive the 2010 Home Health Quality Improvement Certificate by HealthInsight.  One of only six recipients in the state of Nevada, the achievement honors Saint Mary’s Home Care’s commitment to ongoing improvement and high quality care over the past year.  HealthInsight, Nevada’s Medicare-contracted quality-improvement organization, establishes measures for award criteria from clinical and administrative data collected annually from home care agencies across the nation.

Saint Mary’s Home Care provides a combination of health care services and supportive care to patients and families in the comfortable environment of their own homes.  In an effort to transition patients by “bringing the hospital home to you”, Saint Mary’s Home Care skilled team includes registered nurses and physical, occupational and communication therapists, dietitians, social workers and more. These professionals provide a broad spectrum of services ranging from intravenous drug and nutrition therapy, to pre- and post-surgical follow-up, cardiac care, rehabilitation, and terminal care.
