SUBMITTED NEWS RELEASE
WASHINGTON, D.C.—Sen. Harry Reid met today with women participating in the Women Impacting Public Policy 2010 Annual Leadership Conference. The six women, four of whom are Moms in Business representatives from Nevada, discussed with Reid issues ranging from small businesses tax credits and job creation to clean energy and education.
“Yesterday, President Obama signed into law the Small Business Jobs Act, legislation that will provide billions of dollars in tax credits and will increase access to capital for small businesses. The Recovery Act saved teacher jobs and is helping to spur clean energy job growth in our state,” said Reid. “I thank these women for meeting with me today to discuss the issues critical to Nevada and for continuing to drive job growth and move important policies forward in their communities.”
