Forest Service opens Incline Village office

usfs-logo-282x300-3247557-3663896SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif.– The U.S. Forest Service will offer services for visitors and residents out of its new office in Incline Village beginning Thursday, September 23, 2010. The North Shore office, located in the Washoe County Incline Service Center at 845 Alder Ave, adjacent to the library, will be open Thursday through Saturday from 10 a.m until 3 p.m.

The new location will sell Desolation Wilderness permits, as well as fuelwood permits and Christmas tree permits during the appropriate seasons, offer maps and books for purchase, write campfire permits, post information on Forest Service job openings and provide general information for visitors and residents.

“We’re pleased to be able to offer services once again on Lake Tahoe’s North Shore,” said Forest Supervisor Terri Marceron. “We’re very appreciative that Washoe County has made it possible for us to serve the community from such a convenient location, and we look forward to expanding our services at this office in the future.”
