Truckee Meadows Water Authority reminds customers to show off their water-efficient and beautiful landscapes. The deadline to enter the seventh annual Water-Efficient Landscape Awards is Friday, Sept. 10, and entering is fast and easy.
The awards, which recognize customers who have dedicated some or all of their landscaping to water-efficient methods, are open to all TMWA customers. With two entry categories, design by homeowner and design by professional, all are welcome to enter their water-saving designs. Take a few minutes and submit your water-efficient landscape and you could win great prizes. The judging panel will include landscape and irrigation professionals, gardening experts and TMWA staff. Entrants must provide four to six color photos of their yards.
First-, second- and third-place winners will receive gift certificates from one of these generous sponsors who have come together with $3,000 in prizes: All Seasons Lawn and Landscaping, Dayton Valley Turf, Dry Creek Garden Company, Moana Nursery, Rail City Garden Center and Western Turf & Hardscapes.
