SUBMITTED RELEASE FROM JODI STEPHENS
Over the past 10 months, I have had the opportunity and pleasure to meet thousands of Nevadans and listen to their concerns and ideas for our great state. Nevadans are worried about the direction in which our state and country are headed, worried that our children and our grandchildren will not enjoy the freedoms that we grew up with and concerned about how long it will take to recover from this economic recession.
I share these concerns, and that is the reason I am running for Nevada Assembly. The residents of District 32 need a representative in Carson City who understands the challenges we face in Washoe, Humboldt and Lander Counties and who is not afraid to work hard to solve these problems.
I will continue to work hard all the way up to Election Day to make sure your voice is heard. My goal is to contact every home in my district, and I intend to do just that–and I hope you can help by volunteering a few hours between now and November.
When elected, my No. 1 priority will be to create Nevada jobs by preserving and promoting our low-tax, business friendly environment. I will be an advocate for expanding Nevada’s energy and transportation infrastructure, and I will fight for meaningful education and spending reform. The status quo is unacceptable when our children’s future is at stake.
Finally, I will always be available, responsive and accountable to the Nevadans I represent. And, while serving in office, I will be a careful steward of your tax dollars. You can trust that I will make the right decisions for you and not worry about my next election.
I look forward to hearing your ideas for strengthening Nevada, and I truly appreciate your continued support.
