Harry Reid raises money in Canada

Date:

SUBMITTED NEWS RELEASE

angle1-7267576-4097276While many Nevadans spent the weekend at home wondering how they were going to make ends meet, U.S. Senator Harry Reid was in Vancouver, Canada, raising money at a fundraiser hosted by trial lawyers.

The Reid fundraiser was hosted by the “Committee for a Better Future,” a liberal lawyers association that is raising money on behalf of Democrat Senate candidates across America.

“Reid’s fundraiser at a Canadian resort comes at a time when Nevada’s unemployment rate is at a record high 14 percent and the tourism industry struggles at home,” said Jerry Stacy, a spokesman for U.S. Senatorial candidate Sharron Angle. “President Obama damaged the tourism industry in Las Vegas when he told people not to come here, and it appears Harry Reid agrees with him. Harry Reid says that ‘no one can do more’ for Nevada, so why does he have to leave the country to pad his war chest? It seems callous, and come November the voters at home will respond by electing Sharron Angle to the U.S. Senate.”
