image001-300x214-7022693-8689693The Triple Play Sandwich, the signature dish at Aces Ballpark, has been named one of the Top 10 minor league ballpark foods of 2010, according to Sports Illustrated.

The triple-decker sandwich includes healthy portions of pulled pork and brisket, wedged between three slices of Pullman bread and generous amounts of coleslaw. Barbecue meatballs, pickles and cherry peppers adorn the skewers that hold the sandwich together.

Levy Restaurants, the Aces Ballpark concessionaire, created the sandwich to celebrate the opening of Aces Ballpark in 2009. Since then, fans have raved about the sandwich, which is available exclusively at Aces Ballpark.

Other foods that made the list include Toledo’s gyro and hummus carts, Sacramento’s salmon tacos and Memphis’ barbecue nachos. The complete list can be found online at SI.com.

The Aces return home tonight at 7:05 p.m. against the Fresno Grizzlies, Triple-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants. Single-game tickets for all games start at just $7, and can be purchased by calling the Aces Ballpark box office at (775) 334-7000 or by visiting RenoAces.com.

Fans can get more information on mini-plans, group tickets and season ticket plans by calling (775) 334-4700. The brand-new Freight House District, located just outside Aces Ballpark, is open seven days a week, on both game days and non-game days.
