SILVER SPRINGS, Nev.—Join astronomers Jay Lawson and Adam Kramers at Fort Churchill State Historic Park for an evening of star gazing on June 12 at 9 p.m. There is no fee for this event.
The astronomers will provide large tracking scopes for viewing. Both men have been providing astronomy programs for state parks for many years and have vast knowledge of the heavens. Come see star clusters, planets, the “Ring Nebulae” and distant galaxies.
The viewing will be in the parking lot just west of the Buckland Cemetery, just right after entering the main park. Follow the reflective arrows to the parking lot in front of the museum for vehicle parking. To preserve night vision of viewers please bring a flashlight with a red covered lens and a warm jacket.
