Wednesday, June 16 –As summertime fitness and activities near, Saint Mary’s is offering a six week class, Jump Start a Healthy Life, for those interested in developing a personalized plan aimed at improving overall health. This comprehensive health management program focuses on nutrition, fitness and stress management and offers tips to achieve weight loss goals. The six-part series will meet weekly on Thursdays starting on July 8 through August 12 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at CDS Group Health located at 1625 E. Prater Way, #101 in Sparks.
Jump Start a Healthy Life will provide information and guidance to help each participant develop personalized goals to improve their overall health and wellbeing. The class series will be taught by a registered dietitian, a certified fitness professional, and a registered nurse for a thorough approach to weight loss, nutrition, and overcoming fitness obstacles. Each participant will receive a computerized risk assessment of family and personal health history along with lifestyle practices, social support factors and blood test results.
