The second night of the festival will be kicked off by southern California-based Americana rockers DAWES, recently making their debut appearance on “The Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson.”  Their debut album, “North Hills,” stays true to the alt-country Laurel Canyon sound, which they call home.  Local band MY FLAG IS ON FIRE will open for Dawes.

The night will also serve as a fundraiser for the UNR Wolf Pack Veterans, a group comprised of current UNR students who fought for our country in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.  Proceeds from the door receipts will go to the Wolf Pack Veterans organization.

The third night of the festival hits the fast-paced notes of rockabilly and western swing with BIG SANDY & THE FLY-RITE BOYS headlining the show.  The band was recently inducted into the Rockabilly Hall of Fame, and made frequent appearances on celebrity fan Conan O’Brien’s “Late Night with Conan O’Brien.”  Local acts LEROY VIRGIL & THE LOADED DICE and THE COWBELLEROS will open the show, which will provide a good time and plenty of dancing at one of Reno-Sparks’ newest venues.

Extradition Music is not a style or a sound, but is about a place, a place that has a long lineage in the annals of Outlaw Country, Alt-Country, Americana, and Roots Rock music.  Reno has been the home of the fictitious crimes as sung by Johnny Cash and Woody Guthrie; the rambling of Tom Waits, The Grateful Dead, and Merle Haggard.  Reno is where their characters run to when they want to break the law, and run from when the deeds are done.
