Two weeks left to bid on Balloon Race wedding

Love is in the Air at the 2010 Great Reno Balloon Race

For the first time ever, the nation’s largest free hot-air balloon festival, The Great Reno Balloon Race, will be auctioning off a wedding package, valued at more than $50,000. The Love is in the Air Wedding will be awarded to the highest bidding couple, who will get married during the Balloon Race on Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010 on the graceful rolling hills of Rancho San Rafael Regional Park.

The current bid is $9,600, from a local couple, and bids will be accepted at www.renoballoon.com/Wedding through Saturday, June 1, 2010 at midnight (PST). All proceeds will go to the Balloon Race, a non-profit community event.

This exclusive wedding package will be provided to the lucky bride and groom by the Weddings of the West Association, and includes a hot-air balloon ride after the ceremony, wedding planner, a choice of two unique honeymoons. The package provides the bridal couple with all of the amenities necessary for a once in a life time dream wedding, including catering, photographers and videographers, florists, a wedding cake and much more.
