My name is Jodi Stephens, and today I filed my Declaration of Candidacy for Nevada State Assembly District 32.
I’m running for Assembly because I care deeply about our community. Our family lives in District 32, and my husband and I are proud to be raising our daughter here. Together, we are proud of our roots in Nevada and want our daughter to know the Nevada I knew growing up.
I am a third-generation Nevadan, born and raised in Hawthorne. I attended the University of Nevada where I earned degrees in Political Science and Secondary Education. My husband Chad and I married in 1998 and together we live in Sparks with our six-year-old daughter, Reagan.
My experience working on important issues for Nevadans is quite extensive. In all 17 counties I have worked with Nevada citizens and elected officials at the local, state and federal levels. I believe that my experience, honesty and integrity, along with my ability to take on tough issues and work hard to provide solutions, will benefit our hardworking families and retirees.
I strongly believe that my understanding of the challenges facing our state today makes me the best candidate to represent the residents and businesses of Nevada Assembly District 32.
In the coming weeks and months I look forward to meeting my fellow residents of District 32 and discussing the important issues facing our great state.
