SUBMITTED NEWS RELEASE
Ten post-game fireworks shows, 50-cent hot dogs, two jersey auctions and a slew of exciting giveaways highlight a jam-packed 2010 Reno Aces promotional schedule, the organization announced today.
The 2010 Aces promotional schedule includes the return of some of the most popular promotions from the 2009 season, and the introduction of a number of brand-new giveaways, theme nights and discount offers.
Back again in 2010 will be a post-game fireworks extravaganza following every Friday home game. The Aces will also present a special fireworks show on Sunday, July 4 as part of their Independence Day Celebration at Aces Ballpark.
New for 2010, Aces Ballpark will feature 50-cent hot dogs on May 11, June 22 and Aug. 31, and every Thursday is a Coors Light Thirsty Thursday™. The club will honor the men and women in uniform on June 11 with Military Night, as the Aces will play in special camouflage jerseys. Reno will don special jerseys again on Aug. 21 at the ballpark.
Among a full-slate of giveaways are adult and youth jerseys, skateboard decks, youth catcher’s chest protector backpacks and a barbecue set.
The fun kicks-off in earnest during Opening Week at Aces Ballpark. Following the much-anticipated April 8 Opening Day, the Aces will give away magnet schedules on April 9, presented by McMaster Consulting. Saturday, April 10 will feature a fleece blanket giveaway, presented by Silver Legacy, and Reno Aces scarves will be given away on Monday, April 12.
The first chance to pick up single-game tickets for the 2010 season is this Saturday, March 6 at 10 a.m. Tickets may be purchased at the Aces Ballpark Box office, online at www.RenoAces.com or by calling (775) 334-7000. Fans are encouraged to act quickly, as tickets for Opening Week, July 4 and all promotional dates are expected to go fast.
Fans looking to attend games during Opening Week and other popular dates are encouraged to consider a season-ticket plan or group outing, as that is the only way to guarantee a seat for these sought-after games. Prospective season-ticket buyers have the opportunity to select which seats they would like to purchase in person at Aces Ballpark right now by making an appointment with the Aces front office. Sales representatives will also be on-hand on March 6 to offer fans the chance to view remaining season-ticket seating options.
Last season marked the inaugural year for Aces Baseball in Reno at the brand-new Aces Ballpark. The Aces, Triple-A Affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks, turned-out the third-best record in the Pacific Coast League in 2009. Twenty-five players who saw time with the Aces last season played in the Major Leagues, including up-and-coming stars Brandon Allen, John Hester and Rusty Ryal, as well as Major League rehabilitation assignees Stephen Drew, Eric Byrnes and Chad Tracy.
