Kahlan Elizabeth King Arrives to Celebrate New Years-

On New Year’s Eve Jennifer King was enjoying a quiet evening at home with family, patiently awaiting the arrival of her daughter in the New Year. Due in January, Jennifer did not plan on having a baby on New Year’s Eve, but her daughter, had other plans and arrived at 9:15 p.m. on Dec. 31, 2009 at Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center.

Kahlan Elizabeth King arrived two weeks early, but at a very healthy 6 pounds 9 ounces and was able to enjoy the last couple of hours of 2009. Kahlan joins her big brother Archer and her dad Dusty.

Baby Kahlan was the last baby born in 2009 and therefore decade at any of the region’s hospitals.
