SUBMITTED NEWS RELEASE

As kids return to school and the rush of the holiday season is over, now is a great time to protect you and your family from H1N1 by getting vaccinated. Saint Mary’s Immunization Program will offer vaccines at Meadowood Mall on Saturday, Jan. 30 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Conveniently located in the Center Court of Meadowood Mall, right behind Starbucks, the H1N1 vaccine is only $20, or free to Saint Mary’s HealthFirst and Health Choice members. The vaccine is also free to those with Medicare as their primary insurance.

Although the H1N1 vaccine is now available to the general public, Saint Mary’s encourages those most susceptible to complications from H1N1 to receive the vaccination.  High risk groups include people aged two to 24, pregnant women, individuals 25-64 with chronic health conditions, healthcare workers and caregivers of children less than 6 months of age.

For the latest information regarding Saint Mary’s H1N1 vaccine clinics, please call the Flu Shot Hotline at 770-3553 and choose option 3.
