Renown offers additional H1N1 flu shot events

renown_brochure_091006_b-22In addition to the Saturday’s seasonal flu and H1N1 vaccination event, Renown Health will offer three additional flu shot events before Christmas. Additional dates are also being considered.

Clinics will be offered at Reno Town Mall, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on the following dates:

  • Saturday, Dec. 12
  • Tuesday, Dec. 15
  • Saturday, Dec. 19
  • Tuesday, Dec. 22

H1N1 vaccinations will be offered to participants between the ages of 6 to 24, pregnant women, caregivers of children 6 months or younger, healthcare workers/emergency personnel, people ages 25 and over with certain chronic health disorders or compromised immune systems. This expands the priority groups to include those over 64 years old with underlying medical conditions.

The cost for a H1N1 shot is $20 or free to Medicare beneficiaries (Part B), members of Senior Care Plus or Hometown Health fully insured HMO and PPO plans.

The cost for a seasonal flu shot is $28 or free to Medicare beneficiaries (Part B), members of Senior Care Plus or Hometown Health fully insured HMO and PPO plans.

Pediatric flu shots are available by appointment only for children ages 6 months to 10 years old. Call 775-982-4148 to schedule these appointments.
