SUBMITTED NEWS

Located in downtown Reno in the midst of a thriving arts district, Wild River Grille has emerged as a strong supporter of the arts in many different facets, and provider of pre-show sustenance for performance lovers. The restaurant’s in-kind and monetary donations to local arts organizations now total approximately $100,000 since their opening in 2007, and they’ve provided a paid venue for local musicians since the restaurant’s inception.

Organizations such as Artown, Sierra Arts, Brüka Theatre, Nevada Museum of Art, A.V.A. Ballet Theatre, and the University of Nevada, Reno School of the Arts and the Reno Philharmonic have all partnered with Wild River Grille to host parties, provide meals for their artists and patrons, and receive donations to support their nonprofit endeavors.

More than 60 local musicians have also been welcomed with open arms – and payment for their performance – since Wild River Grille began offering their patio and indoor space as a venue for the area’s musical talent. To date, more than 600 performances provided by locals have been experienced there.

An idyllic start to each cultural experience is beginning with the culinary arts, and the nouveau American cuisine produced by Wild River Grille’s chefs Joseph Bell and Jessica Marrufo. For the 2013/14 performance season, the riverside restaurant is offering a three-course, $35 prix-fixe menu on select evenings featuring Reno Philharmonic and Broadway shows at the Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts.
