Background:

During the past year, a number of business, professional and labor groups based in Nevada have come together to form the Building Jobs Coalition.  Working with key legislators, the Coalition developed strategies to create jobs that the 2011 Legislature will be asked to consider.  These strategies are outlined in the group’s Web site; www.buildingjobscoalition.com with the white paper to be formally released Thursday.

The first few pages of the white paper give a brief overview of suggestions to put Nevadans back to work over the next critical 6 to 18 months.  If adopted, these suggestions will accelerate and strengthen our state’s recovery.  The full report details how we can create a more diverse and sustainable economic model to broaden Nevada’s economy over the next two decades.
