The Great Eldorado BBQ, Brews & Blues Festival

June 15 - June 16

Great BBQ and awesome music on the streets of downtown Reno!

Fire up the grills, tap the kegs and crank up the tunes for Reno’s best summer kick-off party in mid-June! The Great Eldorado BBQ, Brews and Blues Festival is part barbecue block party and part microbrew tasting event. Downtown Reno rocks with live entertainment, amazing food and beer from more than 65 breweries from around the world, including the Eldorado’s Brew Brothers, Hop Valley Brewing Co., Lagunitas, Lead Dog Brewing, Stoneyhead Brewing Company and more.

Two stages feature nonstop rock and blues music, and the streets are lined with food booths and vendors – all free for the public to enjoy! Festival-goers can purchase a wristband for unlimited tastings, or buy individual tokens to sample select beers. With so much sudsy deliciousness to choose from, you’ll be hard-pressed to taste them all. Oh ya, did we mention the mouth-watering barbecue?

Headlining this year’s free entertainment are the Vanilla Ice (Friday) and Spin Doctors (Saturday). Rapper Vanilla Ice emerged in 1990 with the hit “Ice Ice Baby” and became the first white rapper to top the pop singles chart. His second single, “Play that Funky Music,” reached the number four spot on the pop charts. His latest album “WTF – Wisdom, Tenacity & Focus” was released in August 2011. The Spin Doctors are known for their hit singles, “Little Miss Can’t Be Wrong” and the No. 1 Rock radio song of 1993, “Two Princes” from their triple platinum album “Pocket Full Of Kryptonite.”
