What do you want to be when you grow up?
More than just the average children’s educational event, Science Saturdays include interactive simulations and workshops to integrate learning, fun and imagination for children eight to 12 years old. When asked this question as a kid you probably said an astronaut, a scientist or the President of the United States of America. Now give your kid a chance to become 2 out of 3 of these with Science Saturdays at the National Automobile Museum.
Science Saturdays are hosted in partnership with the Challenger Learning Center of Northern Nevada, a nonprofit organization that fosters positive learning experiences and creates long-term interest for students in mathematics, science and technology. Each monthly event features a different theme relating to space and technology, where participants can become an astronaut or scientist for the day. Upcoming experiences include a simulated journey to the Moon, Mars and beyond in one of only two Advanced Spaceflight Labs in the country, as well as a simulated deep sea journey to discover the Titanic.
Science Saturdays are held the second Saturday of each month from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and admission is $12 per person for children and adults, which also includes admission to the National Automobile Museum. The event brings together technology, science and fun for the whole family.
