Thing to do in Reno, Nevada
What if business could be a force for good in the world?
With the practices of Conscious Capitalism, it absolutely can.
Join Amber Barnes and Lindsay Bradley as they discuss how capitalism can elevate humanity. If you’re interested in an introduction to Conscious Capitalism and a sneak peek into what’s happening in Northern Nevada, this Biz Café will answer your questions — and may even inspire you!
Barnes is founder and Chief Learning Officer of StartHuman, a leadership development practice on a mission to re-humanize the workplace. She has over a decade of experience as a leadership coach, trainer, and consultant. Bradley is VP of Operations for Simco Imported Shoes, Inc., where she exercises her passion for motivating and mentoring those who wish to grow into meaningful leadership positions and works daily to incorporate conscious business values into daily operations.
Their team presentation — “Business with a Soul — a New Approach to Capitalism” — will take place during the new Biz Café (formerly Tech Café), which now takes place at Rancharrah. They will teach you how to apply the four tenets of Conscious Capitalism: higher purpose, stakeholder orientation, conscious culture and conscious leadership.
Here are some questions they will answer:
What is Conscious Capitalism?
What is Conscious Capitalism’s role in Northern Nevada?
What does it look like to practice Conscious Capitalism?
How do people get involved with Conscious Capitalism?
NCET’s Biz Café is open from 2 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 15, and the program starts at 3 p.m.
Oh, and by the way: It’s free to attend, no RSVPs are needed, and everyone is welcome.
