The 27th Annual Reno Celtic Celebration and will be held from 10 am to 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, October 7-8 at Bartley Ranch Regional Park in Southwest Reno.
The festival will feature Pipe Bands, Clan tents, Scottish and Irish Dancers, Highland Atthletics a Living History section, Celtic animals, British cars, vendors, kids games and more. Main stage entertainers include The Sligo Rags, Dust in My Coffee, 3-17, Ciana and Sierra Highlanders Pipe Band. The Sands will host a Saturday Night Ceilidh (Party) on Oct. 7 featuring the Sligo Rags and Dust in My Coffee.
All of Bartley Ranch Park is being utilized for the festival. One of our highlights will include several competing pipe bands. They are the Prince Charles Pipe Band, the SF Irish Pipe Band, Jefferson Pipe Band and Emard Society Pipe Band. There will be closing ceremonies each day that will feature all pipe bands playing in unison called the “Massed Pipe Band.” Additionally, Individual piping competitions are held Saturday morning.
