  1. The quality and credibility of information is more important than impossible-to-achieve objectivity
  2. Gatekeepers to those more qualified are an impediment to news
  3. Obviousness is not news
  4. People and organizations can tell their stories better when not vetted through gatekeepers
  5. Information dissemination is inherently social
  6. Publishing news and information is only part of the process
  7. People determine the importance of information, not editors
  8. Quality information is more important than debate
  9. No person, business or organization is immune from the skeptical eye
  10. No person, business or organization is immune from praise
  11. Contradictions are a normal fact of life
  12. Rules are always evolving and are therefore subject to change
