The Boys & Girls Club of North Lake Tahoe this month officially commenced its new after-school youth program, which will serve children weekdays between the time school lets out and 6:30 p.m.

The Duffield Youth Program operates at Incline Elementary School, 915 Northwood Blvd. in Incline Village. It’s been serving about 100 children in kindergarten through fifth grade since beginning last month.

The Boys & Girls Club programs collectively serve about 1,800 students at sites in Truckee, Kings Beach, and Incline Village.

Mindy Carbajal, Boys & Girls Club CEO, said her organization is happy to have a presence in Incline Village.

“We are thrilled to be serving youth in Incline Village in a positive, safe environment that provides excellent programming,” Carbajal said in a statement. “We are looking forward to forming strong relationships with the families and the community.”
