Local Band Alert: ThisisReno takes a closer look at local bands in this series of 5-minute interviews. This week we chat with Spur Crazy.

ThisisReno: How did you get started and who are your fans?

Spur Crazy: Spur Crazy began in 2014 with a fan base across northern Nevada and northern California. Our fans range in age from early 20s to senior citizens.

TIR: How would you describe your sound and style?

Spur Crazy: We consider ourselves to be a high energy country party band. We play some old standards and much of today’s country music. We get people up and dancing and having a good time.

TIR: Where can people listen to you music when you aren’t playing live?

Spur Crazy: Spur Crazy has songs on Spotify, iTunes, and Soundcloud.

TIR: Where do you see the band in 5 years?

Spur Crazy: The band is currently expanding our original song base with an eye towards releasing a new CD in 2018, and continuing to release new works in the future. We’ve also had the opportunity to open for national groups and hope to continue to do so throughout the West Coast.
