The Alliance for Victims’ Rights has scheduled its annual memorial at 5:30 p.m. June 21 in the Holly Quick Memorial Garden at Sparks Marina Park, 300 Howard Drive.

The garden is located on the west side of the park that borders Western Village Inn & Casino. It was named after Quick, who was killed in her apartment near the park 11 years ago. The garden was dedicated in 2009 during Victims’ Rights Week.

The event will remember those who’ve been affected by violent crime locally and refreshments will be provided by the Sparks Police Department.

The garden includes a wall where people can purchase plaques to honor and remember loved ones who were victims of violent crime.
