The Sands Regency’s 18th Annual EuroFest brings together free, live entertainment, a wide variety of European cuisine, more than 70 European and craft beers and a multitude of craft booths to provide Reno with a fun-filled celebration of culture for all ages. It is free to attend the event and proceeds benefit the Shriners Hospitals for Children.

EuroFest is open Friday, June 3 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday, June 4 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday, June 5 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. This year, TEMPEST, a band hailing from the Bay Area via Norway, will join the headliner, the Young Dubliners, and rock downtown Reno with Irish-inspired, danceable music on Friday and Saturday nights. The Gruber Family Band will be back again this year to perform both Saturday and Sunday as well as Polka Power California.

Attendees can enjoy a smorgasbord of food from Germany, Spain, France, Greece and England including fish & chips, a sausage plate with choice of grilled bratwurst or knockwurst, sauerkraut balls, braised cabbage, Mediterranean salad, Basque chorizo sandwiches, gyro sandwiches, lasagna, bee Sting cakes and apple strudel. Mario’s Portofino Ristorante Italiano will feature Italian favorites in their booth. Schat’s Bakery will be in attendance with is family recipe of apple strudel, dating back more than 100 years.

There is no shortage of beverages to enjoy as well. This year we will feature a full bar. The selection of beers seems endless with offerings such as Young’s Chocolate Stout, Lindemans Framboise, Pilsner Urquell, Weihenstephaner, Chimay Cinq Cents, Rodenbach, Ayinger Celebrator and Spaten Oktoberfest.

A large tent in the Sands Regency parking lot provides seating for up to 700 EuroFest attendees while the event’s craft fair is host to more than 20 vendors. Crafts include handmade jewelry, quilts, blown glass, candles, barbecue sauce and more.
EuroFest is free to the public due in large part to the participation of local businesses sponsoring the event.

“This is the 18th year of EuroFest in Reno,” said Lisa Miolini, event director. “We’re excited for another great year of fantastic, family-friendly entertainment while raising money for the Shriners Hospitals for Children.”
