Video: Swing County USA, The Final Push (Part 5)

Date:

Swing County USAAs early results elsewhere have given the nomination process a seesaw effect, the upcoming caucuses in Nevada, the first in the West, become ever so more important in determining which candidates will be facing off in the presidential election next fall.

Major questions could be answered when Nevadans, and especially Latinos in Washoe County, caucus — Feb. 20th for the Democrats and Feb. 23rd for Republicans.

Do Latinos caucus? Will Donald Trump’s comments about Mexicans hurt him or help him? Will Hillary Clinton’s long-standing outreach efforts within the Latino community pay off? Will endorsements from charismatic but also polarizing Nevada politicians benefit or hinder Ted Cruz and Bernie Sanders?

Reno-based filmmaker Nico Colombant looks at some of these questions and more in the conclusion of Swing County USA, a documentary series about the growing importance of the Latino vote in Washoe County, a swing county in a swing state.
