Kurt Hoge of Reno Typographers has earned the primary professional credential of Certified Advertising Specialist from Promotional Products Association International, the trade association for the $20 billion-plus promotional products industry.

He is only one of two in the Reno market to receive this credential.

Reno Type's Kurt Hoge“This designation demonstrates that we’re not just ‘product peddlers,’ but experts in helping clients achieve results through the use of promotional products,” according to Mr. Hoge. “Anyone can buy something cheap online and sell it. We differentiate ourselves with a focus on measurable results.”

The Certified Advertising Specialist (CAS) designation is the promotional products industry’s primary professional credential. Certification is awarded with 75-hours of industry-approved curriculum, a passing score on the CAS exam, and maintained through mandatory continuing education.

Promotional Products Association International (PPAI) created this certification program in 1961 to designate individuals in the industry who have demonstrated an advanced knowledge of and experience in the promotional products market.

Reno Typographers has been a part of the advertising and printing industry since type was made out of lead. Today they offer local and national clients full service offset and digital printing, complete mailing and fulfillment services and a selection of over two million imprinted promotional products.
