Nevada and UNLV will be facing off in the annual Battle for Fremont Cannon on Saturday, October 3rd at 4 p.m. Mayor Hillary Schieve and Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman have decided that the losing team’s mayor must wear the winning team’s jersey to an upcoming City Council meeting.

“UNLV has started something special this year with new Coach Tony Sanchez, and the community has embraced this team,” Goodman said. “After watching Nevada against Arizona and Texas A&M I think the Wolf Pack may be in some trouble this year. Also Mayor Hillary would look lovely in Rebel red!”

“The Wolf Pack is coming off a big win against Buffalo, and the excitement in Reno is growing,” Schieve said. “With the game here, I’m proud to bet on the home team – and I know Mayor Carolyn will look radiant in Wolf Pack Silver and Blue.”
