AZZ Galvanizing Opening Eco-Friendly Reno-Area Plant

According to the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada and the Northern Nevada Development Authority, AZZ Galvanizing Services will be opening a new plant in the Tahoe-Reno-Industrial Center that should provides up to 60 new jobs over the first few years.
AZZ is a global provider of galvanizing services, including 43 hot-dip galvanizing plants in the United States and Canada.
“We chose Reno because of all the positive economic development in the area,” said Tim Pendley,  chief operating officer of AZZ. “It provides the opportunity to develop this new and untapped market. We’ve been planning the expansion into the Reno area for several years, waiting for the right time to invest in the future of this growing economy. We are very excited to be part of Nevada’s future.”
“This is yet another example of innovation and industry coming to our region,” Marshall McBride, Storey County Commissioner, said.  “With several companies recently making their home here, AZZ will be in good company at Tahoe Reno Industrial Center. We are happy to welcome them to northern Nevada and wish them great success.”
